WELDON CITY SCHOOLS ACHIEVE EXPECTED and exceeded ACADEMIC PROGRESSWeldon City Schools Board of Education recognized performance awards received from the State Superintendent's Office on behalf of schools achieving expected academic progress and exceeding academic progress.  Weldon Elementary Global Academy, Weldon STEM High School, and Roanoke Valley Early College received recognition for achieving the goal of expected academic progress for students during the 2017-2018 school year.   Weldon Middle School achieved the goal of exceeding expected academic progress for students during the 2017-2018 school year. 

Public Notice of Participation and Comments on the NC Application for IDEA Part B Grant AwardThe North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is making available its annual State Application for receiving grant award under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as amended in 2004. The proposed application will be available for public review March 4, 2019 – May 5, 2019. Comments will be accepted March 4, 2019 – April 3, 2019. A copy of the State Application will be available on the NCDPI website at: under Hot Topics. Also,  a copy of the State Application for public review is located at WCS Central Office.
